Andrew Hampel


Andrew is the CEO of ISG and a highly experienced and respected senior executive in the field of sports marketing and in particular in the stadium and arena-financing sector.  He joined IMG from Freshfields as a newly qualified solicitor and acted initially as sole in-house lawyer in Europe. Over the following 18 and half years he fulfilled many roles across different divisions of IMG including running the global Stadium and Arena, Motor sport and European Golf divisions. 

In 1998, he took responsibility for all IMG’s sports-related activity (excluding television production and distribution) in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.  Notable achievements during his latter years at IMG included responsibility for leading the global expansion of the Stadium and Arena Division. He was responsible for the Wembley transaction for IMG.  Andrew is a founding partner and CEO of the Bastion Stadia Group, since renamed International Stadia Group, which was formed in August 2006.

As CEO of ISG, Andrew is now one of the most sought after experts in the global stadium solutions business. He oversaw the successful delivery of Galatasaray's seating programme, beating expectations by 100%. Due to his unparalleled expertise Andrew joined the advisory board of Friends Arena in 2012.
